Best VS. Right

In my time on earth ever since I could remember I've always heard "do whats right" or "I felt I did what was right!" even movies glorified the notion "Do The Right Thing"...it's always been right vs. wrong. Kinda got me thinking one day (and not everyone will agree w/this notion but just hear me out)has anyone every tried to do whats BEST...lets remove the "right" factor from right vs.wrong and replace it with best. Best Vs. Wrong...
How did I come up on this concept?
Well where all great things arise from, heartache and pain.
I do hate to admit it, but its true. The older you get you realize cliches are true, lol.
I never in my life after that relationship, which coincidentally has shaped me forever wanted to be "right" again...I only wanted to be happy and do what was best. I saw how one persons desire to be "right" affected every choice and decision they made. Never admitting always pointing a finger, never owing up to there choice.
I wanted to make the best choices, do my best and not singularly do what was "right". I found being right to be a selfish, pride filled cause that one champions in order not to lose face, or look embarrassed and has a myriad of ego driven reasons as to why they want to be "right"...to all those who believe that right is the path to happiness and forgiveness look at all your friends and family members who's stood/stand on the moral pedestal of right and see how happy they are. I've lost a lot in my life to the notion of being right, whether it was done to me or I did it to myself.
Walk with this. There are times we believe deep down in our core and soul we knew what was right and then only to find out later we were doing or acting out of another emotion. Doing whats best provides logic and clarity always...I urge you to try it for a week and if you don't like and are not completely satisfied with it I will give you your money. JOKING. But you can always go back to your dogma of being right. You lose nothing if you try to do whats BEST for you and all involved.
In acting they say is that the strongest choices or best choice you can make for that character...if the answer is yes than you've made the "right" choice...a good acting teacher would never say make the right choice first and then lets see if the best comes out of it. If you do best right will always come.
